Quadrant I kryptonite

It’s been three months since my last blog post – where’d the time go!!!

I feel as though I’ve been trapped in a series of vicious quadrant I activities as Stephen Covey explained in the 7 habits of highly effective people. Quick refresher – quadrant I is the urgent/important activities like pressing problems, crisis and deadline driven activities which quickly leads to stress, burnout and always putting out fires.

After looking at that list, I’m not certain I’ve ever worked in any other quadrant like the Zen quadrant II where you actually plan, recreate, build relationships and look for new opportunities which leads to vision, balance, discipline and control.

Wow, that sounds so nice – hopefully I’ll get to immerse myself in a quadrant II day spa soon 😉

The fact is we all work in quadrant I more often than we ever like to admit. But if we want to advance our dreams and goals, we must force ourselves to work in Quadrant II even when we don’t feel like it.

So, today; this day, I once again dive into sharing thoughts and ideas on developing a winning personality. This focus allows me the creativity to share with and learn from others. I’m glad you’re here.
